FUJIFILM Photo Receiver App Reviews

Simply does not work!

This is incredibly disappointing, as the wifi functionality is/was very important to me and my travel workflow... Must have been broken by a recent iOS update or something, because after multiple deletions, reinstalls, restarts and retries, I havent been able to connect even once. Using the XT-1 and an iPhone 6 with all up to date software.

Poor Design of App

Cant transfer video and can only transfer one photo at a time.

Terrible

Fujifilm makes great cameras, but poor software. Figuring out how to connect an XT-1 is a puzzle, but not the enjoyable kind. Actually connecting the camera to an iPad takes Devine intervention and haste (the app usually times out too fast). If you connect (and thats a big if), RAW shooters will find themselves looking at a message saying the camera has no images. Suggestion for Fuji: outsource your iOS apps to real app developers who have a good understanding of user experience. UI and UX in all the Fujifilm iOS apps is terrible.

great camera horrible apps

please fix bugs ASAP with ios 8.3 iPhone6 plus and iPad Air2

This App Deserves No Stars

The App is terrible. They say that it is a sign of mental illness to do the same thing repeatedly and to expect a different result. Well this App will make you question your sanity because no matter how many times I obsessively followed the directions it did not connect the iPhone with the camera. Very disappointing.

Actually WORKS with my Fuji X30.

Unlike the other FUJIFILM free Camera App, this one actually maintains a connection with my X30 and allows me to download pics from the camera onto my iPhone 6. Not an intuitive interface and requires you to change your iPhone network settings to connect, but it actually WORKS.

If u shoot RAW dont bother with this app

I have the Fujifilm XT-1. I am disappointed in this app by Fujifilm. I am tech smart and youngish but I want my two hours back that it took to try try and try again with the three Fujifilm apps to simply upload photos to my iPhone and IPad. Kept timing out. I did the upgrade to on my camera and the regular app wont recognize it. Even with me pushing "okay" like some reviews said to do. This particular app "Photo Receiver" kept timing out on me and Id have to start over again. I wish it had an option to upload RAW files (condensed) to my phone. If u shoot RAW dont bother with this app. I am hoping Fuji will fix this app as I live my Fujifilm camera.

Crummy

Really! For as much money as i spent on this darn camera (xp80) for the wifi and waterproof features it should have darn well worked!!!!!!! i see how much you dont care about ur customers Maybe next time ill get a canon

Failed app

Does not work. At all.

Does not work with iOS 9+

Just a warning to those upgrading to iOS 9+, the app will no longer connect to the camera. I enjoyed easily transferring photos from my X100T to my iPhone but I can no longer do so since updating my operating system. Major bummer.

Gets the job done

This all quickly and easily moves photos from camera to device with two super simple steps - I could never go back to a non-WiFi camera after having this feature and this app is as easy as it gets!

Doesnt work

Just got the XP80 camera and app doesnt work with the iphone 6plus. I called fuji support and they told me to call back tomorrow. Poor customer service. They need to fix this app.

Fujifilm Photo Receiver

Does not work with iPhone 6 Plus and X-T1!!! Should get NO STARS!!

3 step process to success

1) on camera, start wireless function 2) on your phone, open wifi setting and select the Fuji wifi 3) now open Fuji app on your phone and connect. If any step fails. Close app and power down camera and start again. Lots of trial and error too it worked perfectly for me.

It Works

Not the best user-experience, but useful for transferring photos from my X-E2 to my iPad or iPhone. The lack of multi-photo transfer option and presence of an arbitrary 30 photo transfer limit (before having to refresh wifi connection) are annoying but bearable. Transfer speed is solid for medium to high quality images. I have not tried transferring RAW images.

Does not work

Simply refuses to work. I am using a Fuji X100T and and iPhone 6S running iOS 9.1. And yes, the wifi is turned on on the iPhone and sees the network created by the camera. Dont bother.

Meh.

It works as intended but doesnt look nice. Badly needs an update for iOS 9.

It works

It works, but only sending one photo at a time. After linking the wireless transmission, you must connect in the app and the camera simultaneously! It took me about 20 tries before I was able to make it work.

Why not?

Couldnt connect between ipad mini(os9.1) and x30

Terrible

Does not work at all for me. Im using an iPhone 6s and trying to connect my X-T10 and its failed to connect EVERY SINGLE TIME. You cant sell a camera with "built in wifi" if it doesnt connect to anything wirelessly. Fail.
